Hospital heroes day
On Wednesday the 28th August (Term 3-Week 6) Magdalene Catholic High School hosts a very special mufti day to support the Children's Hospital at Westmead. Students and staff are encouraged to dress as heroes in exchange for a gold coin donation for the Hospital. The day is a chance to develop solidarity across the school with the real heroes at the Hospital that are fighting illness and tirelessly looking after patients. The day will also see the official launch of the trivia night with bookings opening for the night on that day. For further details of the full event. Staff, students and parents of Magdalene should keep an eye out on the social media pages and the newsletter for frequent updates, and of course check your email regularly.
Hospital Heroes day commenced in 2014 under the leadership of a very committed team of Year 11 students who wanted to make a difference in their community and beyond. The a very warm and sunny day in November 2014 a tradition was born and Magdalene students and teachers dressed as heroes to support the heroes of The Children's Hospital at Westmead. The dedicated team organised a mass school breakfast, a fashion parade and other fun activities to continue the growing partnership between the school and the hospital.
